Run it. Mine it. Verify it.
The public testnet is one operator node with a published genesis and bootnode. Everything a second operator needs is on this page or linked from it.

Run Minerva
Start sync-only, verify block 0, confirm a peer, compare a recent block hash with the public RPC, then mine. The node refuses to start on a genesis whose hash differs from the pinned one.

Mine Minerva
Proof of Work with the Ethash family. The reward address must be a Minerva account; there is no EOA to mine to. Rewards are credited directly to the account's balance.
MRV, the native coin: 1 MRV per block in the first era, halving every 10,500,000 blocks.
- Emission
- 1 MRV per block, halving every 10,500,000 blocks, 21,000,000 MRV scheduled issuance; 30 % of the base fee to the miner, 70 % burned
- Genesis difficulty
- 0x600000, sized for a 4-thread CPU miner at roughly 15 s per block; adjusts with the network
- Reward address
- a Minerva account address (for example one created in Minerva Wallet 0.1.2)
minerva-geth --datadir ~/minerva --networkid 77138 \ --bootnodes "<bootnode enode>" \ --mine --miner.threads 4 --miner.etherbase 0xYOUR_MINERVA_ACCOUNT # the miner refuses nothing here; the account model does: only an ML-DSA-65 key # can ever spend what the address receives.

Operational notes
One operator node
The public testnet currently has a single operator node that also serves as bootnode. A second, independently run bootnode is open work.
Relaunch history
Relaunched on 2026-10-23 from a genesis built with metadata-free contract bytecode; the previous chain is archived, not served.
Rate limits
The public RPC accepts POST only and is rate limited per address; run your own node for sustained reads.
Reporting
Figures on this page come from the testnet RPC with a timestamp. Estimates are labeled as estimates.
